At Happy Days, we believe that the positive experiences a child enjoys at this foundational level of life and development – both at home and at school – have far-reaching effects in their lives, shaping and influencing their outlook and attitudes towards themselves, others, their work and their world.
The Happy Days staff continually strive to create this special environment for each and every child. Our aim is for learners to have fun while learning, maturing, socialising and developing important skills for the future, in a friendly and open atmosphere.
Classes
We follow the outline of the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) Grade R curriculum. Both our Pre-Grade R (Busy Bees) and Grade R (Ladybirds and Butterflies) classes cover the same three subjects on which they are informally assessed throughout the year, namely Language, Mathematics and Life Skills. We ensure that Grade R graduates are well prepared for their transition to Grade 1 and we are proud to have a longstanding reputation amongst the staff at local primary schools for doing so to a very high standard.
