Educational Support
Based on her observations and assessment of each child, a class teacher might recommend additional supportive input from an external professional, such as an Occupational or Speech and Language Therapist. Difficulties with sensory processing, fine-motor control, auditory processing or pronunciation of certain sounds are some examples of reasons a child would benefit from extra support.
Each week, a private OT and a speech and language therapist visit the school so that short individual or group sessions can take place within the learning environment.
