Staff

Mrs. Darlene Galloway
Principal
Mrs Galloway has more than 35 years of teaching experience across both the Pre-Primary and Foundation Phases. She has a deep passion for nurturing young minds, and she makes it her mission to ensure that every child at Happy Days thrives in all areas of their development. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where all our Happy Days children feel valued and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
“To serve at Happy Days is such a privilege! It is a school with many traditions, and generations have passed through our doors. The children are the heartbeat of the school and it is wonderful to see them confidently entering through the doors each morning, making new friends and running off to play in such a safe environment. It is a joy to walk through our classes and watch the children learning and working happily on their tasks while being guided by their teachers. Aristotle says that ‘Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all’. At Happy Days we ensure that respect, kindness, caring and compassion are encouraged and praised. This special start to our children’s education is such an important step and we are here to take that step with you.”

Mrs. Natalie Goble
Secretary
Both of Mrs. Goble’s children attended Happy Days, with the last leaving in 2010, and she served on the Governing Body of the school during that time. In 2012, Natalie returned to the school to serve in the position of school secretary.
“Happy Days is such a special place. There is so much love and joy here. It really is such a place of belonging which people feel they can return to later and be welcomed – like the matrics, who get SO excited for the reunion! Preschool needs to be a home from home for the children, somewhere they feel safe, like an extension of their family, and Happy Days really is. By the time the kiddies leave here after a year or two you have such a strong connection with them. Every year I think I cry just as much as the moms when they leave! It’s just amazing to see these little souls develop”.

Mrs. Sunette Jackson
Housekeeper
In 2018, Sunette stepped in to the housekeeping role on a part-time basis on days when Trish was needed to step in as a teacher’s assistant. When Trish’s assistant role became permanent, it was a joy for Sunette to take on the housekeeping duties permanently.
“I prayed for a job, and here I feel like I got exactly what I asked for. It’s always a happy day for me, working at Happy Days! I’ve worked in previous places and it’s just not the same. This feels like a family. The staff team works together so nicely together, there is so much respect and we can help each other when we need to”.

Mr. Ivan Mafenuka

Ivan has been keeping the gardens of Happy Days in tip-top condition since 2015. Hardworking and knowledgeable, the fruit of his efforts are apparent in the well-maintained lawns and greenery of the school.
